writing on the run

Two weeks on the road and May has developed stranger anxiety for sure. The constant onslaught of unfamiliar faces and being thrust into strange arms have made May more anxious than usual. She would cry for me and try to squirm her way toward me; look for me when I’m not around, cry for me when she hears my voice. I try to reassure her as much as possible, and whenever I appear, I would promptly come for her before she calls for me. It’s inevitable that everyone wants to hold her, and I understand that part of this trip. Hopefully the fun she has outweighs the anxiety. Son’s coming the last week of this month, so hopefully she will be much more at ease with 2 familiar faces vs. just one.
